Cashback Terms

The rules of the ACEB cashback program

Effective date: August 4, 2026

1. What cashback is

Cashback is a loyalty benefit. When you buy a gift card on ACEB, a percentage of what you spend comes back to you as ACEB store credit, held on your account balance in euro.

  1. Cashback is credit that can be spent on ACEB. It is not cash, not a gift card you purchased, and not electronic money. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, cannot be transferred to another person or account, and cannot be sold or exchanged.
  2. Your balance is held in euro and is converted to the currency of your order when you spend it.
  3. Credit earned as cashback does not expire.
  4. The program is operated by Loyalty Vault S.R.L. These Cashback Terms form part of our Terms and Conditions. Anything not covered here — including governing law and how disputes are handled — is covered by the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Participation in the program is free and optional. There is nothing to sign up for beyond holding an ACEB account.

2. Who can earn cashback

Cashback is earned on qualifying orders only. An order qualifies when all of the following are true.

  1. You held a registered ACEB account and were signed in to it when the order was placed. Orders placed as a guest do not earn cashback, and cashback cannot be added to a guest order afterwards — not even if you register later with the same email address.
  2. The order reached Completed status. Orders that are awaiting payment, cancelled, expired, refunded or failed do not earn cashback.
  3. The order had a value above zero.
  4. At least one of the cashback rates then in effect applied to the order. If no rate applied, the order earns no cashback. Section 3 explains how this is determined.
  5. Cashback is credited to the account that placed the order. It cannot be moved to a different account.
  6. Nothing in this section guarantees that a rate will be in effect at any given time. We may run the program with no qualifying rate, or suspend it entirely, as described in section 10.

3. How the amount is calculated

The amount is a percentage of the order value. Two kinds of rate can apply, and you always receive the better of the two.

  1. Lifetime rates apply once the total you have spent with us reaches a set threshold. Order-size rates apply when a single order reaches a set threshold. Both kinds are listed in section 4.
  2. If more than one rate applies to an order, the highest one is used. If none applies, that order earns no cashback.
  3. The order value is converted to euro before the percentage is applied. Where you paid part of the order with store credit, we use the exchange rate that was locked to your order at checkout. Otherwise we use an exchange rate obtained when the order completes.
  4. The result is calculated in whole euro cents and rounded down. Because of rounding, very small orders may produce a cashback amount of zero.
  5. The rate that applies is the one in effect at the moment your order is completed. That rate, the converted order value and the resulting amount are recorded on your cashback entry at that moment and do not change afterwards, even if we later change our rates.
  6. Cashback is calculated on the value of the order itself. It is not calculated on amounts you paid using store credit a second time — credit that was itself earned as cashback does not generate further cashback when spent.

4. Current rates

The rates and holding period below are the ones currently in effect. They are the values that will be applied to an order completed today. Section 10 explains what happens when we change them.

If no rates are shown, no cashback rate is currently in effect and orders completed now will not earn cashback.

5. Holding period and crediting

Cashback is not credited to your balance immediately. It is held for a period after your order completes, so that the order can settle.

  1. When your order completes, a pending cashback entry is created with a maturity date. The length of the holding period in effect is shown in section 4.
  2. Pending cashback is visible in your account under Balance. It is not part of your spendable balance and cannot be used at checkout.
  3. On the maturity date, the amount is added to your balance automatically and appears in your balance history. You do not need to claim it.
  4. Crediting runs on a schedule, so the credit may appear shortly after the maturity date rather than at the exact moment. If a technical problem prevents crediting, the entry stays pending and is retried; the amount does not change.
  5. Each order can produce at most one cashback credit.

6. Cashback and referral rewards

If someone referred you to ACEB, one of your orders is treated differently. This is the only case in which a qualifying order does not earn you cashback.

  1. If you registered through someone's referral link and your first completed order pays them a referral reward, that order earns no cashback for you. The reward goes to the person who referred you instead.
  2. If no referral reward is paid on your first completed order — for example because it does not meet the referral minimum, or because the referral program is suspended — you keep your cashback on that order as normal.
  3. Every order after your first earns cashback under the normal rules in these terms, and the person who referred you earns nothing further.
  4. If nobody referred you, this section does not apply to you and all of your qualifying orders earn cashback.
  5. The rules of the referral program are set out in full in the Referral Terms.

7. Using your credit

Credit on your balance — whether it came from cashback, a referral reward, a refund or an adjustment by us — is spent the same way.

  1. Credit can be applied to an ACEB order at checkout. Your balance is held in euro and converted to the order currency at the time you spend it.
  2. You may pay for an order entirely with credit, or use credit to cover part of it. Because our payment provider cannot process a payment below its own minimum, when credit covers only part of an order the remaining amount must either be zero or at least that minimum. Checkout will not let you choose an amount that falls in between, and will tell you when this applies.
  3. Credit cannot be withdrawn, refunded to a payment method, transferred to another account, or exchanged for cash.
  4. Balances from different accounts cannot be combined, including accounts belonging to the same person.
  5. Credit does not expire. If we ever introduce an expiry, it will apply only to credit earned after that change takes effect, and we will tell you before it does.

8. Cancelled and refunded cashback

Cashback follows the order it came from. If the order does not stand, neither does the cashback.

  1. If your order is refunded or cancelled while the cashback is still pending, the pending cashback is cancelled and will not be credited.
  2. If, on the maturity date, the order is no longer in Completed status for any reason, the pending cashback is cancelled instead of being credited.
  3. We may cancel pending cashback that was created in error, that resulted from a technical fault, or that was earned in breach of these terms. Where we do this other than for the reasons above, we will tell you.
  4. Cashback that has already been credited to your balance is not automatically reversed. Where an order is refunded after its cashback was credited, we may adjust your balance by the corresponding amount.
  5. Cancelling cashback does not affect the refund of the order itself. Refunds are handled under our Return Policy and Terms and Conditions.

9. Fair use

The program exists to reward genuine customers. We may act where it is used otherwise.

  1. You may not operate more than one account in order to earn cashback more than once, place orders you intend to reverse, or use automated means to place orders.
  2. You may not earn cashback on orders that are fraudulent, that are paid for with means you are not entitled to use, or that result in a chargeback or payment dispute.
  3. You may not exploit an error in our pricing, our rates or this program. If cashback is credited to you because of such an error, we may reverse it.
  4. Where we reasonably believe this section has been breached, we may cancel pending cashback, adjust your balance, remove your account from the program, or close your account. We will act proportionately and, where we can, we will tell you why.
  5. If you believe we have acted wrongly, contact us and we will review the decision.

10. Changes to the program

We may change the program — including the rates, the thresholds and the holding period — or suspend or end it. Changes are never applied backwards.

  1. A change applies only to orders completed after the change takes effect. Cashback you have already earned, including cashback that is still pending, is honoured at the rate and amount recorded when it was created.
  2. Credit already on your balance is not affected by a change to the program.
  3. Changes take effect when they are published on this page, and the current values in section 4 always reflect what is in effect now. Where a change materially reduces what you can earn, or where the program is suspended or ended, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect.
  4. We may change the program for reasons including a change in our costs or in the terms our suppliers and payment providers offer us, a change in the law or in what a regulator requires of us, the need to prevent abuse or fraud, or a change in how the program is designed to work.
  5. Ending the program does not remove credit you have already earned, and does not affect cashback that was pending when the program ended.
  6. If you do not accept a change, you can stop using the program at any time; there is nothing to cancel.

11. Taxes

How cashback is treated for tax purposes depends on where you live and on your own circumstances.

  1. Cashback on your own purchases is generally treated as a reduction of the price you paid rather than as income, but we cannot tell you how your tax authority will treat it.
  2. You are responsible for any tax that applies to what you earn under this program, and for reporting it where you are required to.
  3. Where the law requires it, we may ask you for tax information and may report amounts to a tax authority.
  4. We do not give tax advice. If you are unsure, speak to a tax adviser.

12. Contact

If you have a question about your cashback, or you think an amount is wrong, contact us and we will look into it.

  1. Write to support@aceb.com and include the order number the cashback relates to.
  2. You can see every cashback entry, pending and credited, in your account under Balance.
