One Australian card for rides and Uber Eats
After redemption, the card provides Gift Card Balance for eligible Uber rides and Uber Eats orders in Australia. Both services can draw from the same balance where they operate. Someone can use part of the credit for a ride and keep the remainder for an eligible food order another day. That makes this a practical choice when you know the recipient uses Uber but cannot predict which service they will need next.

Pay with crypto and give the unused code
Select an AUD amount and a cryptocurrency available at checkout. If it is a gift, give the unused code to the intended user. An active Uber account is required to redeem the code. The crypto payment happens on ACEB; Uber applies the code as account credit. Once redeemed, that credit cannot be transferred to another Uber account.
Multiple cards, leftover credit and payment
The card itself cannot be reloaded, but additional gift cards can be redeemed into the same Uber account. Uber combines their values as Gift Card Balance, subject to an AUD 5,000 balance limit in Australia. A card cannot be purchased or redeemed if that would push the balance over the limit. Any credit left after an eligible ride or order remains available for a later eligible purchase.
Uber may require a secondary payment method, particularly if the balance does not cover the transaction. If the account also holds Uber Cash, Uber applies that first, followed by Gift Card Balance. The two balances are distinct under the Australian gift card terms.
Does an Uber Australia Gift Card expire?
Uber activates the gift card at purchase. The unused code must be redeemed within three years of that date or its value is forfeited. Once redeemed, the Gift Card Balance does not expire. This distinction is useful when buying well ahead of a birthday or another occasion: the code has a redemption deadline, while the credit already added to an account does not.
