USD-Issued UAE Cards Remain Valid After the AED Change
Sony’s October 2026 UAE Store currency change is from US dollars to UAE dirhams. Existing UAE PlayStation gift cards issued in USD remain valid after the change, so this regional code does not become unusable when the Store moves to AED.
Codes redeemed before the change use the Store’s USD system. Codes redeemed on or after maintenance completion are converted to AED using Sony’s published UAE wallet conversion method. In either case, the voucher remains tied to the UAE account region.
Let PlayStation Handle the Currency Conversion
The purchaser does not need to calculate which individual game or add-on matches the card value. Once redeemed under the applicable Store currency, the player can decide how the resulting balance contributes to the eligible digital content they actually want.
