Check the India Region Before Buying
Google Play India gift cards are country- and currency-specific. A Google Play India code may only be redeemed and used in India in Indian rupees, and the country or region listed in the recipient's Google Play account must also match India.
Under Google's India terms, gift cards are valid for Indian residents aged 18 or older. Indian residents aged 13 through 17 must have parental or guardian consent. Redemption also requires internet access and an eligible Google Payments account for India.
This is especially important for international gifts. Paying with crypto through ACEB does not remove Google's regional restrictions or make an Indian code compatible with an account from another country.
INR Balance Is for the Indian Store
The India version is tied to the Indian Google Play store and its INR balance rules. An Indian rupee code should not be treated as compatible with the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or any other Google Play region simply because the same app or game is available there.
Google Play balance can generally be used only for content sold in the same country and currency conditions as the balance. A recipient should confirm that they are using the right Google account before redeeming, because redeemed balance is attached to that account and does not transfer freely between countries or accounts.
Google currently lists a maximum Google Play balance of 40,000 INR for India. If the receiving account is already near that limit, the user may need to spend eligible balance before redeeming another code.
Understand Indian Balance Conditions
Google Play balance is not cash, not a bank transfer and not a general Google Pay or UPI top-up. It is prepaid value for eligible Google Play purchases in the Indian store.
The balance cannot be used for hardware in the Google Store or to top up another payment method. Some subscriptions or purchase types may also require a different payment method depending on Google's current checkout rules and local payment requirements.
Google's India terms state that no fees or expiration dates apply to the gift card or resulting prepaid Play balance. Before redeeming, the user should confirm that they are signed in to the correct Google account.
Pay with Crypto and Redeem on Google Play
