Updated . Includes the current Roblox Plus options and changes to Premium.

For a flexible gift, choose a Roblox gift card that provides Credit. For a specific item, choose enough Robux. For ongoing benefits, compare Roblox Plus and its optional monthly Robux bundles. The useful question is what the player wants to receive: spending money, virtual currency or a recurring subscription.

Roblox Gift Card, Credit, Robux, Plus and Premium: the difference

A gift card is the product you buy and give. Credit is an account balance; Robux is the virtual currency you spend inside Roblox. A membership adds subscription benefits. Keeping those distinctions clear prevents buying an option that cannot pay for what the recipient actually wants.[2][6]

What each option gives the recipient
OptionWhat it providesBest fit
Roblox Gift Card A redeemable code. Currency-value cards provide Credit; specially marked Robux cards provide Robux directly. A gift. Check the exact card type before choosing its value.
Roblox Credit Redeemed funds used through Roblox's website for eligible purchases. Keeping the choice between a Robux package and an eligible Plus purchase.
Robux Virtual currency for eligible avatar items and in-game purchases. A known item or pass with a price in Robux.
Roblox Plus Recurring membership benefits. Base Plus has no monthly Robux; optional bundles add it. A regular player who will use the benefits or wants a monthly Robux bundle.
Roblox Premium · existing subscribers The existing plan's monthly Robux stipend and retained benefits. Reviewing an active legacy subscription. It is unavailable for new purchases.

Card types, current membership options and eligible virtual purchases are described in Roblox's official documentation.[7][3][4][10]

“I want this” → what should I buy?

A practical buying decision for five common situations
Your situationOur recommendationWhy it fits
“I need a gift but don't know what they want.” A gift card that provides Credit. The recipient can choose how to use the funds rather than receiving a subscription you selected for them.
“They want one specific avatar item or pass.” Enough Robux for that purchase. Start with the item's price and existing Robux balance. Credit can fund a suitable Robux package.
“We want a monthly allowance and membership benefits.” Compare the Plus bundles. Choose the monthly Robux amount and ongoing fee together. Base Plus alone does not provide the allowance.
“They mainly want Plus discounts or a supported private server.” Evaluate base Plus. Pay for benefits they will use. A larger bundle makes sense only if they also need its monthly Robux.
“They already have Premium.” Review the active plan before changing it. Compare its allowance and cost with current Plus offers before cancelling a plan they cannot rejoin.

For one purchase, work backwards from the Robux price

If the player wants a particular avatar item or game pass, find its current price and check the Robux already on their account. Robux can pay for eligible virtual items and passes; availability and pricing depend on the item or experience.[10]

For example, if a pass costs 600 Robux and the account has 150, the gap is 450 Robux. Compare the available packages or clearly labelled Robux codes against that gap. This is an illustration, not the price of a named Roblox pass.

A subscription is worth comparing if the player also wants its ongoing benefits. For an occasional purchase, start with the one-off cost and avoid paying monthly simply to solve today's shortfall.

Does Roblox Plus include Robux?

Base Plus does not include a monthly Robux allowance. Roblox offers separate bundles for buyers who want both membership and recurring Robux.[3]

US pricing example — checked October 2026
OptionMonthly RobuxUS monthly priceWhat to compare
Base Roblox PlusNone$4.99Membership benefits and the local monthly fee.
Plus 500500$8.99The bundle's recurring cost and whether 500 fits the budget.
Plus 10001,000$12.99Whether the player needs this allowance each month.
Plus 20002,000$21.99The larger recurring commitment against actual spending.

US dollar prices checked against Roblox's publicly indexed offers on October 9, 2026. Local prices and applicable taxes may vary; confirm the final recurring price on the recipient's account. These are Roblox subscription prices, not ACEB gift-card prices.[11]

Plus offers a 10% discount on eligible in-game and avatar purchases, increasing to 20% from the third consecutive month. Its value depends on purchases the player would actually make.[5]

As a simple illustration, an eligible item normally priced at 1,000 Robux would cost 900 at a 10% discount or 800 at 20%. Compare those savings with the membership fee; spending more to use a discount is not a saving.

As of the September 24 change, Plus provides one free private server per supported game. Discount exclusions also apply, including resold items. Check the particular game and purchase you care about rather than assuming every Roblox purchase is covered.[3]

Can a Roblox Gift Card pay for Plus?

Yes, when the card provides Credit and the account is eligible. Roblox lists gift-card Credit as a web/desktop payment method for Plus, including purchases from the official redemption page. Use that browser route to spend Credit.[3]

Keep the funds as Credit until you have chosen the subscription. Converting them to Robux changes what you hold. Roblox's retail-code guide describes codes that add Robux directly; those codes do not supply Credit for a Plus payment.[9]

What happened to Roblox Premium?

Premium closed to new sign-ups on April 30, 2026. Existing members can continue their membership and receive their plan's monthly Robux. Roblox Plus is a separate subscription with a different benefit structure; Premium continues for existing subscribers.[5]

If you cancel Premium, you cannot subscribe to it again. Its former 10% bonus on additional Robux purchases ended on May 30, 2026.[4] Existing Premium subscribers can also add Plus, so review both fees before doing so: adding Plus does not automatically replace Premium.[3]

Choose the card amount using the actual checkout

A $10 or €10 gift card does not promise a universal Robux quantity. A currency-value card funds Credit; the package, local pricing and applicable taxes determine what it buys. A fixed-Robux code should state its Robux amount explicitly.[7]

Credit cannot be combined with a bank card to split one purchase. Roblox's credit guide says you need enough Credit for the whole selected purchase or must use another payment method. Check the final amount before buying a card intended to fund a particular package or membership.[2]

Roblox advertises up to 25% more Robux for purchases through the web, computers and gift cards. That is not a guaranteed 25% for every package, and it is not exclusive to gift cards: a direct web purchase can qualify too. Compare the Robux shown for the same budget.[6]

Does the gift card's country or currency matter?

Roblox's redemption guide says its codes can be redeemed worldwide and that currency values convert automatically to the account's local currency. For a cross-currency gift, budget using the recipient's resulting Credit and local checkout price. Read the selected ACEB listing's conditions before buying.[1]

Buying for a child: a gift or a monthly commitment?

For a one-off present, send an unused gift-card code. Let the recipient redeem it on the intended account, with a parent or guardian involved where required. Redeemed Credit is nontransferable; adding it to your own account first can put the gift in the wrong place.[7]

Buying or redeeming a gift card does not itself sign the player up for Plus. A separate subscription purchase does. Roblox's subscription terms require a parent or legal guardian to purchase for users below the legal age of majority.[8]

Plus renews automatically until cancelled. Agree on the monthly budget and review the renewal date and payment method. Paying with gift-card Credit should not be treated as a guarantee that the subscription is a one-time purchase.[8]

Which ACEB Roblox card fits your decision?

Once you know whether the player needs a flexible gift, a Robux package or funds for Plus, choose the card type and amount. The ACEB listings below describe currency-value cards that provide Roblox Credit.

USD value · Credit

Roblox USA Gift Card

Choose a dollar-denominated card when its value fits your gift budget or the recipient's intended purchase.

Before buying: check the amount and listing conditions. The dollar value is not a fixed Robux allowance.

EUR value · Credit

Roblox EU Gift Card

A euro-denominated option for a gift or a planned purchase funded through Roblox Credit.

Before buying: compare the value with the recipient's local checkout and allow for conversion if their account uses another currency.
